About the Position

The company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee personnel, clients, and large-scale mechanical construction projects. This role is ideal for a driven project management professional who wants to grow within a technically advanced organization and take on increasingly complex and high-profile work.

The Project Manager will be empowered with the tools, resources, and support necessary to expand project scope, size, and type, while helping introduce cutting-edge mechanical construction methodologies and technologies.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Leading and coordinating field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
  • Developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and manpower plans
  • Ensuring compliance with contract documents, safety standards, and quality requirements
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and change orders
  • Identifying risks, resolving issues, and driving projects to successful completion
  • Supporting the adoption of new technologies and innovative construction practices

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager for a commercial mechanical subcontractor
  • Industry Background: Strong experience delivering mechanical projects in commercial, healthcare, light industrial, and residential sectors
  • Technical Knowledge: Broad understanding of mechanical systems, including:
    • VRF systems
    • Chillers and boilers
    • Cooling towers
    • Primary and secondary piping systems
    • HVAC ductwork
    • Rooftop units (RTUs)
    • Air handling units (AHUs)
    • Variable air volume systems (VAVs)
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and communication abilities
    • Proven experience managing schedules, budgets, and project teams
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, urban construction environment
