About the Position:
Hiring for a Preconstruction Manager, responsible for transitioning renewable energy projects from development to construction stages. The Preconstruction Manager is involved in the development of the projects as they mature (obtaining entitlement, permits, interconnection approval, and beginning development of IFB drawings). This role with be directly responsible for budgeting and estimating project cost/EPC cost, identifying and qualifying subcontractors and vendors needed to construction the project, conducting RFQ/RFP processes, and identifying AHJ requirements for eventual permitting.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of related Pre-construction experience within Solar
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university in construction management, supply chain, or engineering disciplines highly preferred.
- Must have proven experience managing preconstruction schedules, budgets, preparation of scopes of work and RFP packages.
- Ideal candidate will either have experience working in the Northeast USA markets or Western USA markets and have associated knowledge of these markets (i.e. subcontractors, permitting, EPC cost basis / labor rates, etc).
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in estimating and procurement of supply chain matters.
- This is a remote position, but will require 20-30% travel.
