About the Position:

Hiring for a Safety Manager, responsible for managing the Quality Assurance/Environmental & Safety program. Conducting safety training and managing Workers Comp claims. Evaluating jobsite conditions to reduce risk to employees and the company. Coordinating with projects to initiate underground utility service alerts (USA), and managing company environmental issues. Managing post project quality & warranty issues. Responsible for maintaining a pro-active, highly visible environmental image to customers and general public.

Requirements:

High school diploma. An A.S. or B.S. degree is preferred.

5+ years of experience in construction safety and labor relations.

Knowledge of the various laws and ordinances that relate to construction safety including CAL OSHA and Federal OSHA.

Knowledge of the current regulations applicable to Worker’s Compensation.

Familiarity with various utility providers in the areas where the company does business.

Strong planning and communication skills.

Skill in working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
