About the Position:
Hiring for a Senior Estimator, responsible for delivering safe, cost-effective and quality estimates of complex and large utility scale solar projects. This eole will provide conceptual and final hard-bid estimates for self-perform construction work, manage all aspects of estimate development including scope, schedule, cost, safety and quality, and complete estimates by performing a thorough and complete bid analysis reviewing all relevant project data, facts and information.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with a proven background in project management and at least 3-years or more of self-perform construction experience.
- B.S. degree in an accredited Engineering or Construction Management degree program preferred.
- Commensurate experience spanning years of engineering, estimating, management, and construction-related work proving their technical and leadership competencies.
- Strong understanding and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Database experience is a plus.
- Experience with Primavera 6 and Microsoft Project scheduling software.
- Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities vital; superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential. Significant business skills are required.
- Extensive travel required.
